The Groove
Memory foam seat cushion for the car and the desk chair
$29.99or $54.99 for two
Sits you up to 2.8 in higher in a seat that dips at the back, with an open channel under your tailbone for the long drive.
Same cushion. Two seats you can't avoid.
The drive in and the eight hours after it. It's loose, so it moves with you, or get two and leave one in each.

In the car
Car seats dip toward the back, so you end up sitting low. The Groove adds up to 2.8 in under you, and the open channel at the back means you aren't pressing straight down on your tailbone for the whole commute.
Before you drive: readjust your mirrors and check your headroom.

At the desk
Mesh and thin-padded office seats feel fine at ten and hard by three. Memory foam spreads your weight across the whole cushion, and the raised back edge keeps you from sliding forward.
If your knees end up above your hips, lower the chair a notch.
What the shape does

The groove
An open channel at the back, under your tailbone, so that spot isn't carrying your weight.
Raised back and sides
The foam rises behind and around you, which keeps you seated in the middle.
Lower front edge
The front dips, so the edge doesn't dig into the backs of your thighs.
Non-slip base
A grippy underside, so the cushion doesn't creep forward every time you shift.

Before you order
Will it make me sit too high in the car?
It adds up to 2.8 in at the back and less once the foam settles under you. Most drivers are fine, but if you are tall or your car is low, check your headroom and readjust the mirrors before driving.
Which way round does it go?
Groove at the back, lower edge at the front. The raised part sits behind you.
Can I move it between the car and my chair?
Yes. It is one loose piece with a non-slip base, so you can carry it in. If you would rather not, the two-cushion option leaves one in each place.
Is it a medical product?
No. It is a shaped foam cushion. It does not treat back, hip or tailbone pain.
A seat cushion doesn't treat back, hip or tailbone pain. If pain lasts more than a few weeks, see a doctor or physical therapist.
